What To Ask Any Politician or Reporter - And Then Watch Their Eyes Roll!
BUT FIRST, A SUGGESTION FOR NEW SENATORS AND CONGRESS MEMBERS (and an agenda for the new President too!)
When you arrive, THEY will want to teach you how THE SYSTEM works, and you will be provided with lists of recommended support personnel and staff for you to "lead" as you find out about how things REALLY WORK.
Suggestion: Have some real world people from your home state come to Washington, DC, with you:
1. Select 1/3 of your personnel from the rural areas of your home state, with a focus on people who have worked in mix of small local businesses.
2. Select 1/3 of your personnel from the metro areas of your home state, half from urban areas half from the central part of the metro area.
3. Select 1/3 of your personnel from the Washington, DC, pool.
4. Rotate 1/3 of each 1/3 every three years so you keep fresh, well rooted people around you, mostly from your home state. Select extraordinary, skilled, articulate, thoughtful, and considerate people who are also willing and unafraid to tell you when you have bad breath.
This will help you stay in touch with reality, instead of falling so quickly into the unique mindset that exists only in the nation's Capital. Avoid the three year DCA brainwashing pitfall that has ruined many a solid newbie to the awe of the pomp and circumstance, etc., of the professional handlers.
Remember, we want statesmen and women in leadership that understand the core principles of integrity, honesty, values, and mutual respect without compromise between doing what is clearly right and what is clearly wrong -- and when in doubt, seek to better understand the difference.
Want to see most any career politician or media reporter squirm?
Ask if they have actually read the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights and subsequent amendments - all written by individuals inspired by the life lessons in the Bible, or if not, learned by their thoughtful attention to the history of human behavior.
Also, just ask if he or she has ever read the Holy Bible from cover to cover?
Bottom Line: There is a reason our currency says "In God We Trust", and that is a good thing!
TIP: Have some fun. Ask any politician (maybe even ask a television reporter):
How many zeros are in a trillion?
Here is the definition: –noun 1. a cardinal number represented in the U.S. by 1 followed by 12 zeros, and in Great Britain by 1 followed by 18 zeros. –adjective 2. amounting to one trillion in number.
No wonder world wide financial data is such a mess -- what is the basis of the trillions they toss around every day -- and do they really know?

ABOUT THE USBA.us
This is a service to enhance the outlook for the ultra-small business community in the United States: 3,000,000 independently owned firms seeking the pride and freedom of entrepreneurship by doing business with each other.
Ultra-small firms represent more than half of the for-profit enterprises in the USA, and their people are the roots that nourish and feed all larger firms, non-profits, churches, and local, state and federal governments in America!
This web site is funded from my hip pocket by earned advisory fees and sales of educational business books and publications I have authored since 1979 (i.e. by John C. Randall ) at RGIofVa.com. Buying these valuable "real-world based" publications is a fully-deductible business expense, not a charitable item. Publications from the Randall Group, Inc., have a 30 day money-back guarantee (see web site for details).
I may also be available as a speaker for your group, conference, convention, trade show, radio or TV broadcast, etc. Contact me at John@JohnCRandall.com for availability and rates. Also, if you are an aspiring politician, you might wish to contact me for insights that are not published.
