Employed? You will find valuable insights that apply to intrapreneurship (the act of behaving like an entrepreneur, except within a larger organization).
Not for profit? Think like an entrepreneur! You have many issues in common with the USBA. You have employees just like a for-profit, serve others just like a for-profit, plow back most all funds that you bring in or can get, and if you have fewer than 20 employees, probably are striving to do better too! You might be limited in your freedom of speech by tax regulations, but you still need your freedom. Why not let our publications be mutually helpful to your endeavors and to ours?

Big-name companies to help colleges train workers.
Nice headline, but the content also reflects something else. Read the article if you wish, (CLICK HERE), or paste the following link into your browser:
"Community colleges are ..... spending heavily on remedial education for students ill-prepared for college."
While focus of article was on training people to be employed by large corporations, the example used was the success story of the owner of an ultra-small business.
The noted company "added five employees to grow to 23 employees and has experienced big sales growth" using a growth plan that the owner developed while a student at a community college. The program was called a pilot program for small businesses.
The real story is that the ultra-small company grew by developing and using a market-driven business plan. It created real jobs in the for-profit sector, not the government sector!
Simply stated by the owner, "At a lot of small businesses, you wear a lot of different hats," she said. "Each of us, even ones with two or three employees, feel like CEOs."
The USBA exists for owners and potential enterprise leaders like this example.
Now the self-promotion: I wrote Mastering Your Marketing, a 24 step Guidebook for any owner to use to create their own customized market-driven plan in their spare moments. It is the outgrowth of more than five decades of real-life interactive experience, including custom content development by the author for workshops and seminars all across the country. Any really busy owner (or potential owner or leader) of an ultra-small business or entity can use it to jump start their push to get results and not have to conform to a class schedule.
For those that want to interact with others, content is already being used by an innovative professor in a private college, and community colleges are being encouraged to consider the power of this unique resource. As the author and holder of the copyrights, I can custom tailor the content in cooperation with any innovative faculty member. The first such publication has been released and is currently in use. Do not wait, as I may withdraw this offer at any time based on my health and schedule.
This is a service to enhance the outlook for the ultra-small business community in the United States: 3,000,000 independently owned firms seeking the pride and freedom of entrepreneurship by doing business with each other.
Ultra-small firms represent more than half of the for-profit enterprises in the USA, and their people are the roots that nourish and feed all larger firms, non-profits, churches, and local, state and federal governments in America!
A domain, www.MiniBiz.org, (site under development) has been acquired to provide a future global address and to be formed to operate with full disclosure, truthful, and high integrity "dot org" type of support of the USBA.us vision and message. MiniBiz (tm) is currently just a name, and is not yet funded or organized. Want to help? Please write me a letter (no email) if you are a visionary who can underwrite the seeding of this vision (see contact page for address). Thank you.

Parting thought for the reader that got this far: One must ask, "Are the people in the banks completely powerless to make any independent business decisions, as reflected by so many bank Vice-Presidents (due to regulations and fear)?" Has the development of central banks eliminated the basis for the banking concept when it comes to ultra-small business and non-profit enterprises (for example your local churches)?
